Our story
As a physical education teacher for the past 18 years, I have worked with a diverse student population. Over the years our inclusive classes have seen increasing numbers of students with special needs. In an effort to include and engage students of all abilities, I started looking for adapted equipment that could create a sense of independence, inclusion and success. I quickly realized that there isn’t a wide range of equipment options for individuals with special needs—especially for those with limited motor abilities and visual impairments. In an effort to meet this need, I felt a calling to begin developing adapted sports and recreation equipment for my students that would create a sense of inclusion, independence and increase self-esteem.
Inclusivity, Inc. has developed a multitude of inclusive products that we will be bringing to market to benefit our users around the globe. Our leading product is The Overcomer Striking Device. The Overcomer™ enables our users to play sports and activities like baseball, hockey, tennis, golf, and lacrosse in more inclusive ways. The interchangeable sport and gaming attachments make it possible for users to participate in a number of fitness and health-related activities and easily transition from one to the next quickly. Its light-weight design and easy adjustment make it the perfect equipment option for use in a variety of settings including: home, physical education, recreation programs, physical therapy and rehabilitation programs, hospitals, and sports programs.
